Since North East Contracts was founded in 2002 it has worked in partnership with Main Contractors, Architects, Commercial and Industrial Business, Local Councils and Private Home Owners all over Scotland and the Scottish Isles.

They are approved contractors for Construction Line and hold a gold standard certificate of commitment for the CSCS ConstructionSkills Certification Scheme. They are part of the WWT (working well together) scheme and members of the FSB (Federation of Small Business') and the ACT (Angus Construction Training) group.

NEC understands the importance of sustainability and there responsibility to support its local area. Over the years they have sponsored local sporting events through Abbey Bowling Club, The Angus Brazilian Indoor League and Brechin Cricket Club. They also understand that education plays an important role in securing the future economy of the local area, and therefore signed a partnership agreement in 2007 with Arbroath Academy and Arbroath High School. This is part of there commitment to the Scottish Executives Enterprise in Education scheme 'Determined to Succeed' whom Angus Council in 2008 awarded NEC with Business Ambassador status.
