Brechin Scout Hall
Client: Brechin Scout Group
Products: Steadmans Single Skin AS30 Profile sheets in Goosewing Grey, Hambleside Danelaw GRP Roof System, Fab 24 Limited for fabrications
Description: This project involved a complete roof renovation for the Brechin Scout Hall. We were asked to find a cost-effective solution for the charity to solve the badly leaking roof.
Our objectives were to replace the old roof system to enhance durability and energy efficiency. We then designed and installed a valley gutter system to improve drainage between the adjoining neighbouring roof.
To commence the new roof, we installed Z-bars over the original roof, aligning and securing them to the existing purlins beneath. Eaves closures were added, and 100mm insulation was laid before placing the new metal profile top sheet. We also replaced the top skin rooflights and cleaned the liner to restore natural light within the hall.
We modernized the building aesthetics while preserving its functionality as a community space and finally we overhauled a smaller flat roof section for seamless integration with the main roof using the Dryseal GRP system.
This roof refurbishment ensures the roof performance with a complete watertight covering and added insulation for the building. Ensuring peace of mind for years to come for the Charity and future generations of Scouts.
